TMDR's Work on Foreigner 4

Postby horatio08 » Sun Dec 11, 2011 6:25 pm

Hello, all.

I'm interested in identifying the particular contributions that TMDR made to particular songs on Foreigner 4.
I recognize his amazing, otherworldly synth textures on "Waiting for a Girl Like You," and I figure that he contributed to the funky bassline in "Urgent." But I'd like to listen for his other touches on the record, especially as I'm considering buying the high-fidelity HDTracks version of 4.

Thanks.

There's some nice synth work on Jukebox Hero... that was always one of my favorite tunes on the album.

'Urgent' has his trademark PPG wave ascending / descending flourishses at the chorus. There are many TMDR motif's, the PPG is by far my favorite.
