TD=car thief?

Postby MondoJohnny » Wed Nov 01, 2006 10:23 am

So In I love you goodbye TD talks about stealing a Datsun and crashing it somewhere in New Orleans. Now Im afraid to come to a show. What if Thomas Dolby steals my old car and wrecks it somewhere. My boss would never beleive me when I told him what happened. Frankly Mr. Dolby I find your criminal musings to be most out of character! What is even more disturbing, is the fact that the Sheriff was willing to look the other way for a bribe in this matter. I keep envisioning the poor slob much like myself whose Datsun got taken. He must have cried and cursed his misfortune. Then to add insult to injury he goes and buys a TD CD to make himself feel better and hears a song about the whole event! "No" he says "How could Thomas Dolby steal my car and crash it!" "...and how can he bowl at such odd hours!" The tears would flow freely! :P

I suppose you're right... Even if aliens dont eat this one though, he will probably just crash it in a big electric storm or something...

don't steal this car!

Postby duglmac » Fri Nov 17, 2006 1:59 pm

Might be a bit off topic, but this makes me think about a car I saw in the parking lot in the mall the other nigh (Wednesday night, to be exact)t. It was a vintage late 80's honda or nissan something or another sedan. The paint was shot to hell, the hood had been bleached almost to the bare metal by the sun, all of the hubcaps were gone, none of the wheels or tires were the same, the windshield was dirty, the interior was sunbleached and looked very worn, and........

drumroll please!

it had a 'The Club' locked to it's steering wheel!!!

You think car stealing is bad?

Postby Melmoth » Wed Nov 22, 2006 3:26 pm

Lets not forget, quite apart from his car thievery, Mr Dolby got romantically involved with a lady with the sole intention of taking the keys to her Ferrari, and proceeded to do some quite frightful things in it which I'm sure would have been difficult to explain to the car valeting service.

And if a song was a road, he would ride through the night to you? The man shouldn't be allowed near a vehicle!
