Adele Berti -"Build Me a Bridge" Produced by TMDR

Does anyone know what happened to her? Thomas Produced this terrific 12inch single of hers back in the summer of 1983. I beleive it was a bit of a hit in the dance charts at the time. The song has an unmistakable Dolby sound to it even though he is not credited with engineering it, he must have put alot of it together, It just sounds like something he would have sone. The synth and electronic percussion (Simmons) is him I'm sure. Adele's vocals are top notch too. I'm pretty sure she makes a contribution on "Aliens" need to check that though. Also the instrumental B-Side is fantastic pure Dolby in my opinion. I'll post a pic of the 12-inch sleeve soon.

The only thing I know about Adele Bertei that's not TD related is that she's a backing vocalist on Tears For Fears' "Going To California" live video.

She's very much alive and working - although a master of being under the radar in terms of profile. She joined the Anubian Lights for their album Phantascope in 2004 which is an excellent album - a bit Blondie, a bit Talking Heads. Yeah, I was kinda freaked when Anubian Nights had an ACIDPlanet.com remix contest... and found out Adele Berti was their singer. Jeez, the woman from "Hyperactive!"?? Rawk the frick on! \m/

You know I never put that together in all these years! IS that her on the "Hyperactive" performance that Thomas did on the old Grey Whistle stop? Wow what range and vocal power she has! Oh yes and thanks for the AB update.
