We've got it. It's in the main menu up there next to "Home."
You can see a list on the bottom of the front page of the forum of who is in chat, so you know if there's a party goin' on!

Enjoy!

It's fantastic isn't it, I hope this doesn't make people bypass the forum though

Thanks lunesse for setting up that cool chat. I think it makes up for the forum being down last week ;-)

Chat tips.

Postby white city » Thu Oct 12, 2006 4:22 am

Hi all,
as a chat user I have noticed a phenomonen that is limiting chat use. At the bottom of the home page you can see whether or not there is anyone in chat. Often you see someone there but when you open the chat window they are seen to have left just as you arrived.

What is actually happening is that the who is in chat function is only updated every 5 minutes so often it appears that someone is there but they have already left. The leaving message is displayed as you entrr so it appears that you just missed them when they could have left long ago.

The best way to make this work is not to pop in for a second or two, see it's empty and pop out again but to open chat and leave it open. If someone else joins you will then me informed by the entry sound. If you are busy but want to keep the window open mark yourself and 'away' so people know that you cannot be reached right now.

That way it is not so frustrating when you go in only to find it is actually empty.

Cheers,
Jon

And on that note, I won't be able to make it in on the next 2/3 saturdays. This week I'm going to see Bill Nelson's "Nelsonica '06" and then afterwards it's back to Tenerife for my half-term holiday. My time back in England has gone remarkably quick, time really seems to be flying these days!

Hi Phil,

It was better than you could imagine. Bill (as ever) was his sweet charming self. Hope to see you in Boston next year!

Steve.

Chat is the most-est best-est thing here: to interact with fellow forum members is cool - to meet with TMDR was just the best thing! So, fellow flat earthers - check out the chat room!
