For the lecture/music tour Dolby will talk about the player-created stories that took place in “The Floating City,” including the “patent applications” players filed to protect themselves from many of the freakish and unexpected events that took place during the course of gameplay and were reported upon by The Floating City Gazette. Dolby will also talk about the game’s development team that consisted of members working in different time zones who never actually interacted with each other on a face-to-face basis.
The tour begins in Washington, D.C., at The Loft Oct. 3. Other stops are New York City at Tribeca Oct. 5; Chicago at Martyr’s Oct. 7; Seattle at The Triple Door Oct. 10; Portland, Ore., at a KINK-FM concert Oct. 12; San Francisco at Bimbo’s 365 Club Oct. 13; and two dates in Los Angeles – the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery Oct. 14 and the Grammy Museum Oct. 17.
