Funny Error Message

Postby FredTheCat » Sat Dec 16, 2006 12:24 am

I apparently took too long composing a post a few moments ago and got the following error message which I thought was pretty funny...

"Mistake! There was an attempt of an automatic insert of the message in a forum. Your message is sent to hell. Try still times who knows - can it will turn out? Still probably, that you too long wrote the message - then pass to page back, copy the text, update page, insert the copied text and press button "Send"."

I seem to be getting this error virtually everytime I post now. Have I simply become too slow and thoughtful in composing or is there a reduced time window now, Lunesse?

I was going to post that crazy error message too, just to prove to myself that I actually saw it. Here it is again!

That is a pretty incomprehensible message though. Perhaps someone ought to go into the messageboard setup and change it to say something like:

"Hey, you waited too long and your post is lost. Sorry, Charlie!"

Fred: I've found that when I get the error message, I can simply go back a page in my brower, hit "Preview" instead of Submit, and things go through nicely.

Thanks Wad, good tip. I just followed the (horribly mangled) instructions to copy, refresh and paste them again and it worked fine...but it still seems a little militant.
