Showbox Seattle seating situation?

Postby theoriginalfuzz » Sat Jan 14, 2012 2:10 pm

Does anyone know what's going on with the Seattle show and the Showbox venue? I just purchased tickets, but I noticed they had several price points - some GA seating, some early entry GA seating, and some GA standing. The Showbox website has been barely functional today, and when I was finally able to get my tickets, there was no information as to what the seating looks like or how the early entry seating works (i.e. how early and where the seats are located within the venue).

Naturally, I purchased early entry GA seating (assuming those were the best option), but I have no idea how this works, given that the Showbox is usually a standing room-type situation (at least, up at the front of the stage).

Does anyone have any info on how this works? Thanks in advance!

A layout of this venue
...Seating most likely organization to proximity of stage

Appears the Presale Seated are gone now, most likely the at max 111 seats =
  • 60 seated tables near main bar;
  • 11 on ledge next to ramp;
  • 29 seated on round tables near VIP bar;
  • 10 on high stool near showroom bar.

$20.00 + $9.00 LUXURY FEE FOR GA would be all other open areas of venue floor areas

I don't think that's accurate... i mean, i know there are those seats near the bar and at the back and everything (as indicated in the layout diagram). I've been there for several shows. But I don't think one would pay extra for seats that are not in front of the stage. I suspect they are going to have some chairs out in front of the stage, and that's kind of part of what I was getting at in my original question.

A woman at the Showbox told me that people with "Early Entry GA Seated" tickets would be let in 15 minutes prior to the people waiting in the Green Room bar (who, in turn, are let in before the people outside of the main doors). That's all I've been able to find out.

Sorry never been to this venue, only based on visuals they give for rental... since you've been you have a leg up on me.

Was hoping the visual helped a bit...
none the less I would be never be eager to buy presales at any venue just to get dibs on the crush the stage GA area...
same price and line up early ok...
seats for more ok...
premium to enter 1st sad!
