There's an 8 disk, 140 odd track Bill Nelson career box set called "The Practice Of Everyday Life ~ Celebrating 40 Years Of Recordings" out now too. There's obviously some overlap between the two sets but I personally don't think one devalues the other.

Bill Nelson is the greatest, but around 1992 he started really accelerating his output. He went from 2-3 albums a year to 6-8. While I was able to keep up for a dozen years or so, he just hit lightspeed and now he's literally got dozens of discs that I can't afford to buy. Inasmuch as he makes a well above average song in 2-3 hours from start to finish, the fact remains that his "fully cooked" albums like "The Love That Whirls [Diary Of A Thinking Heart]" are still whole realms better, it's true. I wish he released fewer albums that he spent a little more time on. Maybe 2-3 weeks per album instead of 2-3 days.

Well - you gotta put it out there I guess. I love bills outputand frequency of. But is the quality down - I can't afford to buy the lot so that can go back to dreamsville I suppose.
