And now, from 1952, a classic!

[quote="white city"]Hi,
I can remember the Kenny Everett thing with the Gibb brothers. Maaasachew-sets!! Classic!

I too was deeply in love with Kate Bush and my family remind me of that on a regular basis. I remember seeing her for the first time on Ask Aspel on TV. She was 17 at the time I think which would have made me about 11. I was transfixed. Literally rooted to the spot the whole program and my sisters and mother obviously noticed this and watched with great amusement. Shortly after this came the Farah Fawcett poster in my bedroom... the rest is history.

I think I have either gone insane or an hallucinating. I just found this on youtube and an now speechless, horrified, amused and sad at the same time.

Hi Jon!

Well - do you remember the lyrics to Kate's "feel it" - I used to dream very teenage dreams when that record was on, it's nearly embarassing now but I still feel an inner warmth when I hear her voice.

Like the Apple vs. PC television ads?

Well how about the Compac vs. IBM ads.

(listen to how much whopping memory it has)

Amen. My wife is hardcore NASCAR, backing #29 (formerly Dale's #3) Kevin Harvick. #29 Fan Club sticker on the truck window, #29 cap over the truck's tow point, and more diecasts than I know about - all of them either #29 or Dale's old #3 and in endless variations...signed tire patch from Kevin's win at Indy...the list goes on and on.

What can I say? Her Dad raced dirtbikes, her brother raced stocks, and she restored her own 69 Mustang pretty much from the ground up. The truck? Hers. Ford EDGE 2002 in jet black with a German V8 and autotranny. 4WD natch. And only 12k miles on it. Me? I get the '97 Windstar minivan (101k miles on it, thanks dear). She is now bugging me for the new Mustang - 4$/gal gas going to $5 and she wants - (you guessed it) - a V8 Cobra. God help me, she'll probably get it next year.

For Airwaves wife, Mr. Harvick taking exception to Mr. Montoya. Kevin has a lot of the spirit of Dale Sr... its good to see a bit of a spark! Saw Kevin win the All-Star event in Charlotte NC last year, very sorry to be missing that show this year. He did one of the finest burnouts I think I've ever seen!! Anyway, for all racefans, this is for you!!

also Kevin Harvick vs Greg Biffle, and the best of the bunch, Kevin Harvick vs. Ricky Rudd. The classic fight is of course Cale Yarborough vs Donnie Allison. Funny thing is I really don't follow NASCAR that closely, but I somehow saw all the fights we've mentioned live when they happened.

As for Kevin, yeah, if there's anyone with Dale Sr's. spirit, it's him. The right driver for the right car. I like Tony Stewart ("Smoke") also. He's a fellow Hoosier and a nice guy - until someone messes with him on the track. Tony can get a little bent. I like that. ;)

The "20" in my user name is in deference to Mr. Stewart. Thats what I love about the sport... the passion that fuels competitors. The rootin' and gougin' is all part of the fun. Rubbin' is racin'!!
