Me dumb

Postby MondoJohnny » Tue Nov 21, 2006 11:45 am

Lunesse is there any other format I could view these in. Or is there a way to open it with some other player. Im so pathetic over here what with this dumb old work computer not working right. I mean hey you know everything about computers, including im sure the one i just happen t be sitting at. Yeah yeah you probably have my LAN settings memorized so Im sure I can just fire off some obtuse questions about how to make magical picture player produce trick of light and you will know right what to do to make it work. Because thats your job right? Webmistress is short for (personal on demand IT lady). right? Lunesse?.....Hey come back!

Enjoying the podcasts and Pirate Twins clip.

So much so that I've ordered the SI CD and DVD.
Hope Santa delivers in time for Xmas. :D

Any chance of a TD gig in Glasgow, Scotland in 2007?

Keep making music and best wishes for the upcoming festive period.

Kind regards,
Ken

Is this formerly available? I missed it entirely, I think.

If I don't specifically close the browser connection when I'm done at this forum, it marks new stuff as read kind of haphazardly. Must be my browser.

A very nice 'extra' to keep us going until the DVDs arrive in the mail!

Many (continued) thanks!

the links still seem to be active, and it should automatically bring up quicktime (if thats your default player for this type of file in your browser)

eg: Firefox is your browser - pluggin that handles MPv4 - Quicktime

yeah, quicktime comes up but i get a "not permitted" message of some sort. I'm in Thailand right now, i think that's got something to do with it because i've been having a lot of trouble with youtube too. I'll try it again when i get back to the US. Thanks!

edit: yeah back in the US now and the link does work, there must have been some perceived slight to the Thai royal family in that video that caused them to block it (or something) - sorry to bother!!

How do I hook up a DVD player to a TV that does not have cable on it? I have a TV in my game room that I just want to have movies play. There is no cable (Direct TV) running through. How do I just hook up the DVD player. I must be missing a cord somewhere because nothing is coming on!

For the simplest hookup, you'll need an RCA wire with 3 ends on each side. Usually they are color coded Yellow, Red and White. The Yellow is the Video and the Red & White are for your audio (Red=Right Chanel, White = Left). Also, your TV and DVD player "should" have these inputs color coded the same so you attach the plugs to each following the color code.

Here is an example of the cord:

demona's on the ball there

If you have a scart only tv there are leads to convert, look for one with an "input / output" switch so you can use it for sending signals out from the TV to other equipment like a hard disk recorder
