Hi everyone, I just introduced myself in the new members board last night. My name is Rich and I live with my wife and two sons in Phoenixville, Pennsyvania.
Professionally, I am the news editor of a magazine for a nonprofit organization, but I do quite a bit of writing on my own. Most of this winds up on my blog, which is called "The Dichotomy of the Dog" and can be found at:
http://marimbadog.livejournal.comI write a bit about pop culture and a lot about music, along with travel, family stuff, etc. I've been posting a photo a day [almost] everyday since my birthday last June, and a few months ago I began a series of blog posts called "The Decade Project," in which I'm chronologically reposting my favorite blog posts from the last 10 years.
Back in the fall of last year, I also started making a series of short videos called "Cheap Red Wine" in which I have a sip or two of the eponymous drink and talk about something. Topics have included everything from the night Juice Newton waved at me from the stage to the correspondence of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.
One of my recent CRWs was about Tom Jones and was discovered by the moderator of the largest Tom Jones fansite in the world, Tom Jones International. She posted my video there so I had about seven minutes of semi-fame from that, which was kind of cool. The CRWs are posted on my blog as well.
Anyway, thanks for reading and feel free to check out my blog if you like.
Rich
