Some look like nuts and bolts: metallic. Fascinating...

clues: to take this picture, it cost hundreds of millions of dollars -- also, at the Flat Earth anyway, I'm most active there.

Close! About 15 light-minutes close... It's the South Pole of Mars. Carbon Dioxide ablating (frozen CO2 changing directly to gas, bypassing the liquid state - as there isn't enough air pressure for liquid to exist more than a few seconds) into the atmosphere. The pix was released only a few days ago - its really pretty IMHO. Full details here:

Re the green sphere with the orange and blue dots...

Sorry, this slipped my mind...

It's a scanning electron microscope image of a nerve ending synapse. In this photo the membrane has been sheared away, revealing hundreds of spherical vesicles ready to release their neurotransmitter cargo into the synaptic cleft.

Electro impulses/chemicals are transmitted from nerve's synapse to the next nerve moving the message/information on down the line...

picture of bearded men...

"Arabian Nights dinner 'n' show in Orlando, Florida?" was so close, geographically (if one considers Cape Canaveral). It's the Mercury Program seven astronauts returning from a survival training exercise in Nevada.

"In this 1960 photograph, the seven original Mercury astronauts participate in U.S. Air Force survival training exercises at Stead Air Force Base in Nevada. Pictured from left to right are: L. Gordon Cooper, M. Scott Carpenter, John Glenn, Alan Shepard, Virgil I. Grissom, Walter Schirra and Donald K. Slayton. Portions of their clothing have been fashioned from parachute material, and all have grown beards from their time in the wilderness. The purpose of this training was to prepare astronauts in the event of an emergency or faulty landing in a remote area"

.... ah, perhaps this thread is dead. It seems many (music) forums are now ghost towns; is it a FB effect (or more likely my content ;-)
